Partner Website
Partner Website lets you design and publish a professional customer-facing website for your contracting business without leaving ToolbagCRM. Choose a template, customize your hero banner, toggle sections on or off, configure SEO, point your own domain, and publish — all from the settings page.

When to use this
Use Partner Website when your business needs a simple, professional website powered by the data already in your CRM — without hiring a web designer or maintaining a separate site builder. Common uses include:
- Launching a first website for a new contracting business.
- Replacing an outdated brochure site with something that stays current automatically.
- Creating a landing page for a specific service area or seasonal campaign.
- Giving customers a way to book service, read reviews, and find your contact info online.
Before you start
- Confirm Partner Website is included in your ToolbagCRM plan.
- Open Settings → Features and make sure Partner Website is enabled.
- If you plan to use a custom domain, have your DNS provider handy — you will need to create a CNAME record pointing to
sites.toolbagcrm.com. - Decide which template fits your brand before you start editing: Clean (white, card-based), Bold (dark hero, high-contrast), or Classic (serif headings, warm palette).
Choose a template
- Open Settings → Partner Website.
- In the Template section, click the template that matches your brand.
- The selection saves automatically. You can change templates at any time without losing your content.
Available templates:
| Template | Style | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Clean | White background, sans-serif, card-based layout | Professional, modern businesses |
| Bold | Dark hero banner, large typography, high-contrast | Companies that want to stand out |
| Classic | Serif headings, warm color palette | Traditional, established businesses |
Edit the hero banner
The hero banner is the first thing visitors see. It is always visible on your published site.
- In the Hero Banner section, enter a Headline — a short, clear statement about what your business does (e.g., "Professional Plumbing Services You Can Trust").
- Add Subtext — a sentence or two describing your business, service area, or years in business.
- Click outside the field or tab away to save.
Toggle and reorder sections
Sections control what appears on your published site below the hero banner. Toggle each one on or off and drag to change the display order.
- In the Sections list, use the toggle switch to enable or disable a section. Disabled sections will not appear on the published site.
- Use the up/down arrows to reorder sections.
- Sections marked Required (such as Hero Banner) cannot be disabled.
Available sections:
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Hero Banner | Full-width hero with headline, subtext, and call-to-action (required) |
| Services | Grid of services with descriptions |
| About Us | Company story and credentials |
| Reviews | Customer testimonials and star ratings |
| Contact | Address, phone, email, and business hours |
| Gallery | Before-and-after photo grid |
| Service Areas | List of areas you serve |
| Book Now | Schedule-a-visit link or form |
| FAQ | Frequently asked questions |
Settings
- In the SEO section, enter a Meta Title — the page title that appears in search results (e.g., "Acme Plumbing — Trusted Local Plumber").
- Add a Meta Description — a brief summary of your business for search engines.
- These fields help your site rank in Google and other search engines.
Set a custom domain
- In the Custom Domain section, enter your domain name (e.g.,
www.acmeplumbing.com). - At your DNS provider, create a CNAME record pointing your domain to
sites.toolbagcrm.com. - Click Save in the domain field.
- DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, but usually completes within a few minutes.
Your site will be served over HTTPS once the domain is connected.
Publish your site
- Review your template, hero banner, sections, and SEO settings.
- Click Publish in the top-right corner.
- The status badge will change from Draft to Publishing… and then to Published.
- If you make changes after publishing, the badge shows Site out of date to remind you to republish.
Changes are saved as a draft automatically. They do not go live until you click Publish.
Tips
- Start with the Hero Banner and Services sections enabled; add Reviews and Gallery once you have content ready.
- After your first publish, open the site on your phone to check that the headline and subtext read well on a small screen — most visitors will come from mobile.
- Keep your meta description under 160 characters so it displays fully in search results.
- If you change templates after adding content, your sections and text are preserved — only the visual style changes.
- Publishing is intentionally a separate action from saving. This lets you make multiple edits before going live.
Troubleshooting
My domain is not working
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate. Verify that your CNAME record points to sites.toolbagcrm.com and that there are no conflicting A or AAAA records. If the domain still does not resolve after 48 hours, check with your DNS provider.
Publish button is disabled or stuck
Make sure you have an internet connection and that the site is not already in a Publishing… state. If publishing appears stuck, refresh the page and try again. If the problem persists, the background publish worker may be temporarily unavailable — try again in a few minutes.
Sections I enabled are not showing
Confirm you clicked Publish after toggling sections on. Changes are saved as drafts and only go live when published. Check the status badge — if it says Draft or Site out of date, your latest changes have not been deployed yet.
I see "Site out of date" after publishing
This warning appears when you make changes to your site configuration after the last publish. Click Publish again to push the updated version live.
